I kind of like this...

Superman's new costume is kind of sexy.  Kind of makes him look like a cross between Ultra-Man and Superboy Prime, but so what.  Those two were hotties...why can't sups be a hottie too?

Green Lantern #43

At last we finally get a glimpse into the world of the Black Lanterns. Though not a lot happens here we do find out just dark the Blackest Night is going to be as the Black Hand becomes the embodiment of the Black Corps. This may be a first as well in that a Green Lantern doesn't appear in the book except in flash backs. I'm all giddy to find out what happens next. This was great, if somewhat slow start to one of the most anticipated events in recent comic history.

Superman: World of New Krypton #5

I liked this, because it was what Superman is all about. He is a hero who will not be turned even in the face of his death. It is inspiring enough to affect Zod...ZOD! and is believable. I'm really liking this story and hope that there are some great surprise yet in store.

Batman #688

Dick. Dick Dick Dick. That's what this issue is all about...Dick! Dick trying to be sure of himself. Dick trying to fill the shoes of Bruce. Dick trying to instruct Damian in the ways of the Force...Bat force that is. It's good, but nothing really happens. We get to see the Penguin and Two Face. And from the 1st page we know that Dick gets the shit kicked out of him at some point. I'm still looking forward to what going to happen.

Good God! Is the wait for the Blackest Night taking forever? I am loving the story, I'm getting all the tie-ins, and I am as hyped as ever to get into the meat of this thing. But, let's go already! I want my Blackest Night! mine, Mine, MINE!!! [10 of 10]

DECTECTIVE COMICS #854

OK, I was over the Bat Nipples in the 90's, they weren't sexy then and they just are not sexy now. However, Batwoman taking over Detective Comics is just Awesome! I love this Character and I would be her if I could. Plus, no lesbian sex in this issue!

SUPERMAN #689
Mon-El is a hottie, I'll give him that. But, he is also rather boring. The whole I'm still dying thing just is not enough to keep the story going. Even at her worst Supergirl was more interesting than this. I think it is far better when we are seeing him learn how to interact with this new world in which he is now living. I will continue reading, but let's hope for more soon.

WONDER WOMAN #33

Wonder Woman has been so sad lately...depressing even.

That's not to say that I don't like it. There are some surprising life changing moments for Diana in this issue. Gail Simone knows how to make you feel for a character.

And...there is always the fact that the ... Amazons are the shit!
